The new Foodbank is now open at Wiveliscombe, operating as a satellite unit under the Taunton Food Bank which is operated by the Trussell Trust.
We are open every Wednesday afternoon between 2 & 4 pm at the Silver Street Centre in Wiveliscombe.
Headed up by Felicity Parry and her husband Martyn Parry (Pastor of Wivey Evangelical Congregational Church) they are joined every week by volunteers from the Wivey Community.
The Silver Street Centre, along with the Co-op and Chemist in Wivey, are also collection points for food donations which are then taken to the main food bank centre in Taunton where the food packs are put together ready for distribution.
Local agencies now have the means to recommend and direct local people in need to this and other Foodbanks by their voucher scheme.
