The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 2,5 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
B&M Stores have selected a local charity that has gone above and beyond for the local community, and as a token of their recognition, they have invited our Manager, Sue Weightman, from Taunton Foodbank, as their VIP guest and Local Hero to come and open the store for them on its first day!
The store opening is on Friday 23rd October 2020 in Deane Park Retail Park, Taunton, TA1 2LR.
Sue will have a tour of the new store, cut the ribbon for the grand opening and will also receive £250 B&M vouchers for our charity as a thank you for all of the hard work that the Foodbank has been doing in the local community, especially during these scary and unexpected times!
We are very proud and delighted to be recognised as such and Sue is off buying a hat!! Do come along and support her and the new store.
