The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 2,5 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
In light of yesterday’s government announcement, the foodbank remains open to clients for collection of a food box as before – every week day morning Monday – Friday 10-12 noon, with a prior referral and allocated date.
This follows the government guideline on a click and collect type of service being allowed.
There is no delivery service.
Donations can still be dropped off any weekday morning between 0900-1200 as before.
