The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of foodbanks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Thirteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year we gave 1,332,952 three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis.
This month’s coffee morning and raffle, arranged by the Buckland St Mary church, was in aid of the Taunton Foodbank and raised a splendid £81! Not bad for an hour and a half and it certainly looked as if everyone had a good time!
We thank Neil and Kathy Arnold for organising this on our behalf and for their continuing volunteer work at the Foodbank itself. We would also like to thank Paul and Lynda for their help in making this event such a success.
If you are planning to hold a coffee morning yourself and raise money for this essential charity, please let us know so we can thank you for your efforts.
