For clarification, Taunton Foodbank and its hubs’ policy at this time in relation to school referrals is as follows:
Families who are really in need and who have reduced income need can still be referred to us.
However, we cannot help everyone and we are trusting SENCOs and PFSW to use their discretion in this.
You can approach your SENCO/PFSW who will then email us with your details etc and we will produce the vouchers here. If you think you will need more than one voucher your SENCO/PFSW needs to state that in your details.
We will try and continue school boxes for as long as we can.
SENCOs/PFSWs:
Please assess your families’ needs as usual but just email us their details plus whether they need more than one voucher. We will do the rest. However, we cannot help everyone and we are trusting you to use your discretion in this. If your families are self isolating, they will need to arrange someone to come and collect for them as we do not have the resources to deliver.
Our opening times for collection remain the same; Tuesdays/Fridays 1400-1600.
