How to get help
Taunton Foodbank operates on a referral basis. Please see below for information on how to obtain a food voucher.
The most important step is to get a foodbank voucher.
If you are experiencing difficult circumstances and struggling to put food on the table, we can help. However, Taunton Foodbank operates on a referral basis, which means you will need to obtain a food voucher before we can support you. You have several options:
- Somerset Direct – 0300 123 2224
You can call your local council and request a food voucher. If you call in the morning, you may be able to receive a voucher and collect your parcel from Taunton Foodbank before we close at 12pm.
- Visit Deane House
You can request a food voucher in person at Deane House, Belvedere Road, TA1 1HE. It is a 3‑minute walk from Taunton Foodbank.
- Citizens Advice or Help Through Hardship
You can contact Citizens Advice 0808 278 7842 (10am–4pm) or Help Through Hardship – 0808 208 2138 (Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm) and ask for a food voucher. A trained adviser can also help address your crises, provide support to maximise your income and navigate the benefits system.

If you have been referred before, you can also contact your previous referral agency.
Once you obtain a food voucher, you will be able to collect your food parcel from Taunton, Wellington or Wiveliscombe Foodbank (depending on your postcode) Please note we DO NOT DELIVER due to our very limited resources
Taunton Foodbank is open Monday to Friday between 10am and 12pm.

Wellington Foodbank is now only open on Thursday between 1pm and 3pm.

Wiveliscombe – Collection Point only – For collection arrangement please call 01823 270316 weekdays 9am to 12pm
Wivey Kitchen Pantry is open on Tuesday 12pm – 2.30pm and Wednesday 8.30am – 12.15pm
